Straight Drop Crank Operated Awning
The Glenbrook & Leura Straight Drop Crank Operated Awning is a stylish looking NON GUIDED manual gear box operated awning.
The bottom bar of the awning may be strapped down & the fabric held taught by lightly tensioning the fabric, using the gear box.
There are two (2) types of Straight Drop Crank Operated Awnings & these are:
GLENBROOK – Full Cassette Style
This is a stylish, compact straight drop awning, designed for more demanding residential & commercial applications. The fabric is fully concealed when retracted inside an aluminium head box.The compact design of the hood makes it ideal for exposed top fix & face fix mounted installations.
LEURA – Open (Non Cassette) Style
An OPEN awning when retracted. Without a hood the fabric roller is fully exposed. This is a cost effective, high quality sun shade solution where the mechanism & fabric bundle are not enclosed & is suitable for installation under a roof eave or similar where it is not necessary to give the fabric further protection.
Straight Drop Crank Operated Awnings are manual operation only, by use of a crank operated gear box used to wind the fabric onto a top tube.
The fabric may be stopped at any point & is held at any position by the gear box. The fully lowered the awning may be manually secured at its bottom position by the use of flat webbing straps connected breeching staples.
