Channel Guided Straight Drop Awning
Oberon & Bundanoon Channel Guided Awnings are an exterior vertical blind sun, protection system with a modern slim-line look. The side channels assist in blocking out sun, entering from the sides of the awnings & this together with, the narrow air gap between window glass and fabric, minimizes heat transfer onto the glass to achieve an energy efficient design.
There are two (2) types of Channel Guided Awnings & these are:
Bundanoon – Full Cassette Style
A stylish, compact straight drop awning, designed for more demanding residential & commercial applications. The compact design of the hood, which is available in 2 sizes, makes it ideal for exposed top fix, face fix & reveal fix mounted installations. The fabric is fully concealed when retracted inside a powder coated aluminium head box. The 50mm wide x 30mm deep slim line side channels may be powder coated to match the colour of the head box & tone in with window frames.
Oberon – Non Cassette (Open) Style
An OPEN awning when retracted. Without a hood the fabric roller is fully exposed.
It is a cost effective, high quality sun shade solution where the mechanism & fabric bundle are not enclosed. This awning is suitable for installation under a roof eave or similar where it is not necessary to give the fabric further protection
Channel Guided Awnings may be manually or electrically raised & lowered through a gear box to wind the fabric onto a top tube.
The awning is supplied with a weighted bottom bar which may be stopped at any position as it is guided & held on each side by channel guides.
Additional bottom bar strap runner brackets & straps may be used, for manually operated awnings only, to further secure the awning in position.
